These are adventurous times for the Mission and for each of us individually. Many of us have struggled with illnesses, the passing of relatives and a host of other challenges. We sometimes ask the Lord how will we reach our destination and get our work done with all the things swirling around. On one hand, we say that something is moving in the spiritual based upon all the attacks of the enemy, on the other we say how are we to get there where ever there is. This morning during the Wednesday StreetLight Prayer time (7 AM to 8 AM) I was shown Hebrews 11:8 concerning Abraham: “He went out not knowing where he was going” and the following from Oswald Chambers: “Living a life of faith means never knowing where you are being led. But is does mean loving and knowing the One who is leading. It is literally a life of faith, not of understanding and reason – a life of knowing Him who calls us to go.” We are all traveling down a road and our eyes must not be on the destination but on the One who leads us. That is our goal, to walk hand in hand with Jesus irregardless of where he takes us. His love is our strength, His spirit is our guide and the will of the father is our answer. Reset your eyes on the One who is leading and look only to Him. The destination is just the start of the next journey in our walk with our Lord.
I also feel we need to look at the new building, not as the home for our ministry but a place for God to reside. A tabernacle for His spirit. A place for God to inhabit and flow out of. That any who walk in will immediately know God lives here.
Be blessed and encouraged.
